The first edition of Pitti Uomo featuring men's clothing and accessories was held in 1972. Created basically for the domestic market, the show quickly acquired a distinct international character.
Then, in 1975, it was the turn of Pitti Bimbo, an event that showed high quality children's wear and launched the concept of mini-fashion shows.
