Pitti Immagine presents

La Guida de L'Espresso

The bes Italian wines for the 2005

Stazione Leopolda

The new edition of Vini d’Italia 2005, the authoritative guide to Italian wines published by L’Espresso will be presented at the Stazione Leopolda in Florence at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, 14 October 2004.
This is the second year in a row that Pitti Immagine in collaboration with Camera di Commercio di Firenze is sponsoring this initiative that valorizes one of the best known and most important industries in our country. Like fashions, Italian wines are one of the main vehicles for promoting Italian goods throughout the world. And, even in fields that are not directly related to its core business, Pitti Immagine seeks and selects excellence.
The key items on the day’s agenda:
At the opening ceremony, Leonardo Domenici, Mayor of Florence will present the Fiorino d’oro, the city’s highest award, to Giorgio Pinchiorri and Annie Féolde of the Enoteca Pinchiorri. This will be followed by awards and a tasting session of the 145 best Italian wines for the following categories, sparkling, white, red and sweet wines. Then, Pandolfini, the renowned auctioneers, will hold an auction of fine wines, featuring 60 lots of great Tuscan and historic French labels.
The venue will be the Stazione Leopolda. Thanks to its size and versatility the “Leopolda” is the ideal place for hosting prestigious events with major communications strength.
