PITTI BIMBO 86: EXHIBITORS' POINT OF VIEW

Mogens Jepsen, CEO, Molo (Copenhagen):
We love Pitti Bimbo at Molo! We really like being here, it is one of the top shows we just have to take part in. We registered a great response from buyers from every part of the world: Pitti Bimbo is an international fair and since we work with forty different countries it is an unmissable rendezvous for us. Splendid organization!

Serena Di Scalzo, Creative Director, Loud Apparel (London):
This is the second time we have been to Pitti Bimbo, the first time in the new #ActiveLab section. We recorded good buyer attendance during the fair mainly from Italy and from countries in the Gulf area. Particularly interesting was the Nice Licensing section that I consider to be a good opportunity for companies. Pitti Bimbo is one of the most powerful fairs for the kidswear sector and the organization is remarkable. See you at the next edition!

Hélène Olivier Schmite, Childrenswear Manager, Yves Salomon (Paris):
Pitti Bimbo is the most important fair for luxury brands in the world of childrenswear and hosts buyers from all over the world that are appropriate to our target, the buyers we want to talk to are here. Moreover the fair offers the right blend of historic companies and up-and-coming names, always testifying to a great interest in research. A dynamic and well-organized event.

Michele Zagaria, Customer Care Manager, Woolrich (Bologna):
Pitti Bimbo is an essential fair for us, both for meeting our clients and for making new contacts. This edition has been very positive, we registered good movement in the stand and met many Italian and foreign buyers. Perfect organization as always.

Viivi Valkeeniemi, Head of Sales, Minna Parikka (Helsinki):
A very positive edition! Pitti Bimbo is an important rendezvous, all the main brands take part and we are happy to be here as well. We met many buyers, both Italian and international, as well as a large number of specialist press. Very attentively organized.

Barbara McCamish, director, Carbon Soldier (New Zealand):
We are a childrenswear brand from New Zealand and Pitti Bimbo is a very important rendezvous for us! We registered a great mixture of buyers from all over the world. The fair is easy to visit and the atmosphere is very pleasant. It seems that the business grows at every edition… What can I say? We will definitely be back!

Giulia Garolla di Bard, founder, ZAC 4 Kids (Italy)
Our debut at Pitti Bimbo has been very positive! Our participation exceeded expectations for our brand that is a newly born project: we met various foreign buyers and lots of press and bloggers interested in getting more in-depth information about the identity of the project and the ethical aspects of production. And it was fantastic to be able to exhibit in The Nest section alongside so many young, sparkling brands with a high creative content.

Feedback from BM SRL, organizers of NICE LICENSING:
There was great satisfaction for this first edition of the Nice Licensing project with positive feedback from all the companies that took part and got the opportunity to make interesting contacts for future potential collaborations; a very constructive first phase of this collaboration between the world of kids’ fashion and that of licensing.

Christian Simoni, CEO, Monnalisa:
This edition of Pitti Bimbo was particularly important for us because we celebrated our fiftieth anniversary: a fashion show followed by a big themed party - The Golden Age – on the upper level of the Fortezza Da Basso which was made available at night for the first time. The coincidence of our ‘half century’ further increased the attendance of our retailers, mainly from Italy, Russia and the Middle East. The fair is an excellent occasion for meeting clients in a different relational moment from that of merely order taking and for us it was also an opportunity to express the best of what we do through our event.

Victoria Golodaeva, wholesale manager, LittlePushkin (Moscow):
This was our first time at Pitti Bimbo and I think that it was a successful edition! The atmosphere was truly dynamic, the layout was well structured, all the people very busy. The fair is a great opportunity for meeting buyers from the most important stores in the world. It was a very important experience for us and we will definitely continue to participate. The organization was top rate.

Cati Ferragut, founder and designer of Novel Walk (Barcelona):

We found a really positive atmosphere with great attendance and good contacts. The layout of The Nest was perfect, the stands were beautiful with lots of visibility. We are very pleased with our participation. The fair satisfied our expectations, it helped us to meet new clients and make our brand better known. It is essential to come to Pitti Bimbo because it is the most important childrenswear fair, useful for making brands known, establishing new contacts with potential clients and creating relationships. We were also very satisfied with the organization which assisted us in every way with great professionalism and kindness.
