“Pitti Filati was fantastic. A very active fair, I felt the atmosphere of hospitality, haute couture and the magic of colours, new technology and the pulsating impact of ideas - all at the same time, in a single exhibition. People from all over the world linked to the great theme of the world of knitwear, what could be better? I was happy to see the Spazio Ricerca, visit the pavilions of different companies, get in touch with designers from different countries, discover the new collections and establish new contacts, find trendy ideas and colours. I don’t know of a better option for my development and for researching the information I need for my work. I also visited Knitclub and Fashion at Work and I was satisfied, as they have a very high level of companies and services. I made several useful contacts and I took a lot of photos. I hope to start working with some companies soon. The service at the fair was excellent, I felt at home.”

“It’s really exciting to be here! The fair is easy to visit and is a wonderful experience. I’m Australian and I don’t know many companies I work with personally: Pitti Filati is a unique opportunity to consolidate relationships with industry insiders, see how collections come about and understand what goes on behind the scenes, talking to those involved in them, discussing with colleagues and obviously looking for the trends and new colours for the coming seasons. I chose to stay for all three days of the event because this allows me to have the right time for each appointment with the companies.”

I really like the presence of Vintage Selection positioned immediately at the entrance to the fair, and the Knitclub and Fashion at Work sections, which are always well organised. We choose to visit the Spazio Ricerca at the end of our appointments, because it’s like the conclusion of a journey and we use it to evaluate the work done at the fair.”

It was very useful to visit Fashion at Work and take a close look at the Spazio Ricerca, to discover the new trends and the use of colour. “A truly creative edition: knitwear factories try to be increasingly innovative and proactive, seeking solutions for the problems of the moment such as the increase in the price of raw materials and the controversy over the use of mohair. In addition to large Italian companies, I found some really interesting Japanese proposals. The Spazio Ricerca is always very stimulating with a high level of creativity. And congratulations on the P.O.P. Arena as well!

“Pitti Filati is not the classic fair, here it’s not like being at work, everything is so creative, a crazy, super-friendly atmosphere. Pitti Filati is like a big family. I really liked the selection proposed by Feel the Yarn, it’s nice to see how the students interpret the world of knitwear; Fashion at Work, really very exciting, and the Spazio Ricerca is truly incredible. I was looking for new materials and colours, I wanted to discover the trends for autumn/winter 2019-2020 and create a direct relationship with the knitwear companies we work with. I really appreciate the collaboration with Modateca Deanna, which I had the good fortune to visit last year, and I think that bringing a part of its archives here to the fair was very useful. Bella Vintage Selection and the selection of companies and garments it offered.”

“I started the fair with a little shopping at Vintage Selection. I find it a great idea to have moved it to the entrance of the Fortezza. This edition, I was able to participate at Pitti Filati with my designers and I am very happy, because the fair is a very useful experience. The space dedicated to the Modateca Deanna archives is very beautiful; the Knitclub section is always important for us and I liked the new P.O.P. Arena. You always use spaces creatively! I was looking for innovations in terms of yarns and to see how knitwear companies present their collections: Pitti Filati is always a great source of inspiration.”

“Pitti Filati is always a unique moment for the knitwear industry and we really like it: the atmosphere is positive, energetic and really exciting. For us, it is a must to attend every season of the fair to keep up-to-date with trends and the future of knitwear. At this edition, the Spazio Ricerca was my favourite: very exciting, interactive and complete in terms of information. We took a close look at Feel the Yarn and appreciated the creations of the students this season: the competition is improving a lot and even in China, it is becoming an influential moment for the knitwear and yarn industry.
