The special participation of CHANDLER BURR with the installation-event ART OBJECTS. Shape, Color and Scent. For Chandler Burr, perfume not only has a strong bond with art, it is art. By comparing 15 scents with 15 masterpieces of painting, sculpture and architecture, Chandler Burr – one of the fragrance world’s top experts, writer, perfume critic for the New York Times and curator of the exhibition “The Art of Scent: 1889-2012” at the Museum of Arts and Design in New York – and a steady participant in our fair, will present a special project-installation he created just for Pitti Fragranze. A dialogue between olfactory art and visual art: and an exciting itinerary that will inebriate the eyes and the nose will wind its way through the fair, highlighting parallels between these different artistic mediums. The installation will be on view each day of the fair, the presentation talk will take place on Saturday, 12 September, from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.: the art critic Francesco Bonami will be in conversation with Chandler Burr.
