For the second edition of SUPER, Francesca Zaccagnini, MarieClaire.it Fashion Editor will be writing the Fashion Diary

Some people fall in love with their best friend, some are on the eternal hunt for The One and some people finally end up with the love of their life. For some it takes a while to realise when they’ve found the right one, for others it’s love at first sight. And, at least when it comes to shopping, that’s how it is for me. I fall in love with something sparkly, something different, or something you don’t expect. It catches my eye and it goes right to my heart. Luckily, this happens a lot – and most of the time I’m besotted for quite a while. It’s a good job that monogamy doesn’t apply to fashion! As I worked my way around Super, I fell in love 12 times, once for every month of the year. So here are my 12 lovers – I have no doubt you’ll fall head over heels for them too.

Let’s start off the year with what is the most important item for any woman – her bag. I absolutely adore Salar’s basket-weave rucksack-style handbag, which is one of their signature bags and has a sturdy but soft rope that closes the bag and acts as a shoulder strap. A glamorous new look for what is sure to be one of next season’s hottest trends.

Celebrate love during the month of Saint Valentine with See Me, the big heart brand that produces hand-made jewellery created by women who are victims of domestic violence. I’m wearing their ring, so I’ll always remember that we can do something to change things.

Out comes my “oh-so Roman Holiday” scooter that’s been left in the garage. Spring is just around the corner and I want a nice bright helmet to match. So, the perfect choice is a nappa leather version with An Italian Theory symbols by Alessandro Enriquez, created together with bag designer Azzurra Gronchi and scattered with good luck horse shoes and ladybirds.

Time for a new hat. I want a special one though – one that is very “me”. So it’s got to be a SuperDuper hat, a brand I fell in love with a few years ago and keep falling for every season. I just love the idea of the zip, which means you can detach the head part from the brim. And with the twin-tone cap you can also wear the brim separately as a visor. Brilliant!

A silk scarf is great for warding off the last of the winter chill. I want a Silviya Neri one, with bold-coloured prints reminiscent of old school American tattoos and racy designs, such as sailors kissing in front of the rose window of a church. I doubt I’ll be able to control myself though and will probably end up buying a whole load of them.

For the last of the season’s runway shows I’ve gone for a dress by Bevza, a Ukrainian label that bases its creations on geometric, 3-D designs. Lines are ultra-clean and minimal but the plisse and the transparency give this an extremely modern twist. The brand is already a massive hit in Eastern Europe and is set to break hearts here in Italy too.

Summer at last! Time to kick off my heels and slip on a pair of espadrilles. Not just any old pair though – these are espadrilles with a difference. I’m spoilt for choice with Manebì, who for Spring/Summer 2014 have combined skateboarder slip-ons with classic espadrilles, rope sole and exquisite materials such as pony skin. Get them in all versions.

This month is all about the t-shirt and it’s also all about Jimi Roos, who uses a needle and thread to hand-embroider pop-inspired graphic designs onto white tops. These were limited edition up until recently (he made them all by hand) but as of this season he has a team of embroiderers to help. An absolute fashion must-have as far as I’m concerned. My favourite? The Warhol-esque banana.

I’m starting off with a new resolution: mega dreaming. Benedetta Bruzziches’ fairytale bags, dedicated to women who have never stopped believing, are great for this and, armed with some chalk, I can jot down all my dreams for the new season on her blackboard bag.

I’m forever travelling by plane or train and, whenever I do, the ultimate soundtrack to the journey is courtesy of Frends headphones. They have a nappa leather ring, cushions with a soft inside and a glam outside, and they come in lots of different materials and colours. I want some that are going to stand out, like the mother-of-pearl or chrome metal ones. A great contrast for the new back-to-black look.

Shake winter up with a flash of the exotic. I’m mad about Lolita Lorenzo’s stunning necklaces and the line of collector’s jewellery and minaudières is inspired by the designer’s Kenyan and Afro-American origins.

Round off the year with something truly beautiful – like a micro clutch by Giancarlo Petriglia, a highly talented Italian designer who creates luxury leather items with intricate workmanship. In snake skin with streaks of lamé, this is a great way to toast the new year in fashion. Cheers!
