Tuesday 9 January, during Pitti Uomo 93 and in collaboration with CNA Cinema e Audiovisivo Toscana, CNA Federmoda presents the preview of "Stili Ribelli"(Rebel Styles) the Sky Arte TV series produced by Kinè (part of the regional network of CNA Cinema e Audiovisivo Toscana film businesses), with participation by director Lara Rongoni and producer Claudio Giapponesi. Six episodes, each one dedicated to a cult fashion garment, a trendsetter in costume, films and youth contra-cultures: miniskirt, trench, sunglasses, feather boa, long dress, boots, and stripy sweater… with focus on the artisans and skilful creators of these articles.
This will be followed by a performance-runway featuring the garments from the series, accompanied by the showing of film clips starring the same garments, which have become cult objects thanks to these very films.
Plus the talk session “Cinema e Moda: i cult del saper fare italiano” (Cinema and Fashion: the cults of Italian savoir faire), moderated by Myrta Merlino, with Alessandro Lai - costume designer for the TV series “I Medici”, Marco Landi - CNA Federmoda National Presidnet, Bruno Tommassini - CNA Federmoda Toscana Presdient, Emanuele Nespeca - CNA Cinema a Audiovisivo Toscana spokesperson, Stefania Ippoliti - Toscana Film Commission Director and Agostino Poletto - Pitti Immagine Director General.
The evening will end with a special cocktail and Dj & Visual Set, and clips from Archivio Luce newsreels.
The evening will also inaugurate the Toscana Movie Nights film event - another way to enjoy the cinema with a cycle of seven evenings organised by CNA Cinema e Audiovisivo Toscana in collaboration with Fondazione Sistema Toscana, to promote Tuscan film productions, running at the La Compagnia cinema in Florence (via Cavour 50/r) until 20 February.
