On Thursday 11 January, Il Bisonte inaugurates its new offices and showroom in Palazzo Corsini in Florence and to mark this occasion, the brand will be artistically interpreting its supply chain of artisans and unique, local, gastronomic delights with a cocktail party to celebrate Pitti Uomo.
A historic Florentine company founded by Wanny Di Filippo in 1970, Il Bisonte creates timeless accessories in leather. Bags, purses and wallets, diaries, and belts produced entirely in Tuscany and made with the finest leather, either natural or vegetable tanned.
Reworking and exploration are the two keywords for the FW 2018 collection: skilled study of the brand’s historic archives, teamed with a predisposition for experimentation and innovation. A gypsy mood is the leitmotif running through the whole collection, reflected in the use of Kilim rug fabric on a velvet base, celebrating the brand’s icon bags: the “Maremmana” backpack, the small nineties baguette, the Mezzaluna duffle from the eighties, the bucket and the shopper.
The Fall-Winter 2018 collection also introduces a series of new materials: buffalo hide to characterise icon models and shearling, in the women's range, for new tactile sensations.
