Sneakers. The new project by Philippe Model Paris
An innovative concept that represents a crossroads for creativity, Parisian heritage and the finest Italian craftsmanship: the Cortile dell’Arsenale at the Fortezza del Basso is the setting for an exclusive installation through which Philippe Model develops the concept of a raised, almost suspended exhibition space, based on a contemporary aesthetic approach that gives the collection maximum visibility. The industrial-style materials, with semi-transparent and mirror-finish surfaces juxtaposed with wood, neon and linoleum, are interspersed with designer furniture, and seem to interact constantly with the exterior.
Inside, arranged on islands of mirrored totems, almost as though to create an installation within the installation, Philippe Model presents the Monaco collection: the latest interpretation of the iconic Tropez model. The new sneaker concept updates the brand symbols such as the shield and the “Philippe Model” logo in a completely fresh, modern way: the classic coat of arms seems to blend in with the edging on the upper, while the logo, placed on the heel and on the tongue, references the brand’s heritage while giving it a contemporary relevance. The sole is made from soft, ultra-flexible material and covered with a thin film, adding a slightly rough texture to the material’s innate elasticity and comfort. The choice of materials and colour combinations is also new and innovative, for both men and women.
