Karl Nawrot & Walter Warton with the word Silence for It's Graphics Now! The Words of the Future

An in-depth look at one of the 14 graphics designers

Karl Nawrot (under the pseudonym Walter Warton) is the owner of the graphic design for the new theme; he has lived and worked in Amsterdam since 2008. He studied illustration in Lyons and added a master’s degree from the Werkplaats Typografie in Arnhem, Holland, in 2008. Graphic designer and tutor at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie, Nawrot’s work focuses on drawing, an influence evident in many of his projects, which embraces different forms of expression, from the design of typefaces (hand or digitally drawn) to illustrations (architectural and abstract drawings).
The word chosen for the guide-theme project of the Pitti Immagine winter shows is “Silence”.
