Mr. Ricci, who will take office during the next scheduled meeting of the Board of Directors in July, is taking over from Alberto Pecci who was at the Centro’s helm from June 2009 to June 2012.

The meeting also elected the new Board of Directors: Paolo Bastianello (reelected), Andrea Cavicchi (new), Brunello Cucinelli (reelected), Fabrizio Fabrizi (new), Ferruccio Ferragamo (reelected), Vasco Galgani (reelected), Marcello Gozzi (new), Carlo Longo (reelected), Luca Lotti (new) and Gianfranco Simoncini (new, Tuscan Regional Government commissioner for manufacturing).
On behalf of the shareholders, Vasco Galgani, president of the Florence Chamber of Commerce extended his best wishes to Stefano Ricci and thanked the outgoing board members – Giacomo Billi, Stefano Borsini, Ambrogio Brenna, Piero Peroni and Anselmo Potenza – for all their dedication during their time in office. Special and heartfelt thanks went to outgoing president, Alberto Pecci for having strengthened relationships with the local and national (represented by Sistema Moda Italia) business community and for his constant and intelligent work in  raising the sensitivity and awareness of public institutions and agencies with regard trade and cultural fairs – in other words: about Florence’s place among the world’s fashion capitals.
