As part of the Premio Franca Sozzani, PITTI TUTORSHIP is offering an award to the three winners: Act n°1, for womenswear, Nico Giani and Andrea Mondin, for accessories.

The first Pitti Tutorship award as part of Who Is On Next? Donna 2017, a fashion scouting project devoted to young talents in the world of fashion and one of the most authoritative creative platforms on the international scene, created and developed by Altaroma in partnership with Vogue Italia, held for the thirteenth time in Rome on 7 July.

Altaroma and Vogue Italia, together with the Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana and Pitti Immagine, decided to honour the winners of Who Is On Next? 2017 at the Premio Franca Sozzani, as part of which Pitti Immagine presented the three winners with the Pitti Tutorship prize: six months of support each, in the form of activities designed to consolidate their brand.
The winner of the Womenswear category is Act n°1, a brand based in Reggio Emilia and founded by Luca Lin and Galib Gasanov. Joint first winners of the Accessories category are Nico Giani, a bag brand based in Florence and created by Niccolò Giannini, and Andrea Mondin, a luxury footwear label founded in 2016 by the designer of the same name.
“The creation of the Pitti Tutorship prize as part of Who is on Next? Donna further consolidates the link between Pitti Immagine, Altaroma, Vogue Italia and Camera Nazionale della Moda.
A partnership between institutions and their commitment to the new generations in international fashion design,” says Raffaello Napoleone, managing director of Pitti Immagine. “Support for emerging designers is an absolute priority for us, a mission that we are giving added momentum and substance through Pitti Tutorship, which is furthering its work to benefit the fashion system with this additional award as part of Who is on Next?”
“We firmly believe that talent has to receive consistent and responsible support," says Riccardo Vannetti, Pitti Tutorship Director. "The Pitti Immagine award will involve providing the three winners with ongoing advice on various elements that have to be supervised in order for their project to be a success. My team and I will ensure they receive continuous support, targeted specifically at boosting their brand.”
