The winners of the Talents 2019 of the Accademia Costume & Moda, protagonists of the the Altaroma runway show scheduled on Saturday January 26, were Luca Rao with his menswear collection Give me a chance and Alice Paris with her accessories collection. Their work was judged by a prestigious jury of members of the trade who assessed the collections in terms of their inspiration, technique and styling. This edition saw the extraordinary participation of 22 students who had the opportunity to collaborate with 41 Made in Italy companies: an exceptional cooperation – between companies and students – that represents a unique initiative on the global training scene which aims to establish regular partnerships with the preeminent names in Italian manufacturing. Both designers also won the Pitti Tutorship Reward set up by Pitti Immagine which, through the Pitti Tutorship Director’s Office, is involved in supporting and valorizing fashion designers. The two students, Luca Rao and Alice Paris, will have the opportunity to attend three training meetings with Luca Rizzi, the project director. “I am very pleased about this reward” says Luca Rizzi who pays tribute to the maturity of the project and the great attention to detail of Alice Paris’ capsule collection, a collection that is complete and ready for distribution, as well as the excellent work and determination of Luca Rao who has demonstrated the ability to realize his dream with great skill.”
