The exhibition entitled The London Cut, dedicated to the protagonists, the style and history of London's famous Savile Row, curated by James Sherwood, premièred in Florence under the auspices of the Fondazione Pitti Discovery, during the January 2007 edition of Pitti Uomo. Now it is in Tokyo with two special events this month.
The first event opened with a reception on the evening of 13 March at the residence of the British Ambassador to Tokyo. The exhibition showcased some of the icon clothes created by London tailors for the exhibit at Palazzo Pitti; a select group of visitors was able to see the exhibition the following day.
Then starting on 19 March, through to 26 March, the Isetan department store will be celebrating The London Cut project hosting a special display dedicated to the main exhibition with shots of the Florence event and some famous sartorial creations in the men's department on the 7th floor, and in the gallery of the Shinjuki headquarters where a trunk show will feature a selection of English brands.
Pitti Immagine is proud to be part of the presentation of The London Cut in Japan and wishes to thank the British Ambassador Sir Graham Fry.
