D&G, the young men’s line by Dolce & Gabbana, is the key event of Pitti Immagine Uomo/46. It will be held against the suggestive background of the cypress roundabout of Villa I Collazzi. The exclusive beauty of the setting, the unrepeatable scenario, the explicit desire to create a ‘nature evening’ to be lived in essential simplicity together create one of those Florentine occasions that are so agreeably on a level with the personalities and the creative choices of their protagonists.
Domenico Dolce, from Sicily, and Stefano Gabbana, of Venetian origin, express through their menswear proposals their search for roots which are different and yet common, their fortunate intuition of changeability, a longing for their roots and for the essential, simple things.
The success of their research into the ethnic motifs and the suggestion created by certain unusual images is well known. In line with this research, the D&G collection represents the ‘sign’ of the choices of today’s youth, their interpretations of the times, their longing to change the rules of the old games. For styling that does not invent but rather interprets.
D&G: a hundred or so items, with accessories. The line is produced and distributed by Itierre. Interpretations hat are diversified, transformable, that can be invented again and again, assembled in different ways to compose many personal styles. This new line will be launched by a series of television commercials.
