FREE CYCLE – FREE MOBILITY IS THE NEW THEME-LAYOUT  FOR PITTI-UOMO 74

Pitti Uomo, an observation post on the evolution of contemporary lifestyles, costume and creative culture that now move forward hand-in-hand with fashion, drew its inspiration for this edition's layout from a very current topic: environmentally sustainability mobility. 

The lead player in Free Cycle – Free Mobility will be the bicycle, a constantly stronger symbol of a daily aesthetic, a cult object for a worldwide clan and also the key element in a series of global “trends”. From the New York Bicycle Film Festival that has arrived in Milan at Critical Mass, the San Francisco born "political" movement that has spread and established itself around the globe, from the new young, metropolitan trend to use two wheels in the city (after skateboards and rollerblades), to the repair shops in Brussels to attempts – as in London – to redesign the city with cycling paths to slim it down and combat obesity among the population. 

 At this edition of Pitti Uomo, thanks to the cooperation of ANCMA, (Associazione Nazionale Ciclo Motociclo Accessori), the bicycle will play the undisputed lead in the fair's setting: an impressive installation, a series of enormous pictures specially designed by Oliviero Baldini for the main courtyard on the Fortezza grounds, will be built entirely from the finest Italian brand bicycles and, bicycle parts will become graphic elements throughout all the sections of the fair.

And finally, for Pitti Uomo 74, Pitti Immagine will launch a limited edition of bicycles with the Pitti Immagine brand that will be available to a limited – obviously - number of the press/buyers/exhibitors to get around the city with ease during the event.
