“What’s Fashion About?” is the title of the new tribute to the international community of buyers and visitors who come to the fair and the event’s leitmotif linked to words, ideas and gossip about the world of fashion.

This January, words will tell the fashion story, creating a circuit among visitors and merchandise. Journalists, artists, critics, fashion designers, buyers, gallery owners, PR people, students and fashion victims will be interviewed by a group of bloggers using the most diverse tools to record the answers – and they will be free to express their opinions about style and fashion. Among endless images that define the fashions and trends for the coming season, words will shift the focus to a dimension that is more open and flowing than “just” clothes and lifestyles.

The result will be a montage of interviews with Pitti People. A huge banner with the words and ideas gathered from the Pitti People will dominate the forecourt of the Fortezza da Basso, and there will be clips in the newly rearranged Main Pavilion as well.
