Total Living, the book produced by Pitti Immagine, published by Edizioni Charta and most successfully presented in Milan last April, will be one of the protagonists of the next edition of New York’s Fashion Week this coming 18-23 September. ICE, Istituto per il Commercio Estero - the Foreign Trade Commission - has sponsored two major promotional programs related to Total Living:

- from 14 to 30 September 2002, to launch the 2002/03 Autumn-Winter season, the two main windows of Barneys on Madison Avenue will be fully dedicated to Italian fashions. The men’s collections will be presented against a backdrop inspired by Total Living with pictures from the book and video installations. The program will include the active participation of the major designers and some of Italy’s most famous names in fashions, accessories and design.
Barneys will celebrate this event in grand style with a “presentation cocktail party” arranged in cooperation with Esquire USA.
- on Tuesday 17 September from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., at the Four Seasons Hotel, the book Total Living will be officially presented to the fashion, art, architecture, design and communications communities. The three editors, Maria Luisa Frisa, Mario Lupano, Stefano Tonchi as well as the authors of some of the essays including Paola Antonelli, curator of the department of architecture and design of the Museum of Modern Art of New York, Herbert Muschamp, architecture critic of the New York Times and Chee Pearlman, fashion reporter, will also attend.
