The new SS 2017 collection from Il Gufo is an exploratory mission in the jungle, where children’s imagination makes its way through leaves and maxi flowers to discover 3D animals with quirky fluorescent details. Macro-nature embroidered and printed on dresses, T-shirts and Bermuda shorts, all ready to mix and match, but also to wear in a total print look. The newer shapes are soft and ample. Frills and flounces are made comfortable because they are held back by elastic and ribbons.
THE SEASON’S MUST-HAVES:
For girls: shirt dress, dungarees and denim jacket in chic-romantic version with appliqué or uniform flowers.
For boys: T-shirt with 3D animals, raincoat in ultra-bright colours and Bermuda shorts printed with brushstroke stripes or jungle print.
For babies: sought-after elegance for girls, with flower-lined tulle dresses featuring embroidered stamps and floral patterns, more basic for boys, in a classic shantung silk suit. Even the choice of colours takes its inspiration from Equatorial nature: blends of turquoise are combined with the most varied shades of green. Khaki becomes savannah to create all-over prints while lime green lights up the softer blues.
The big new arrival is the unusual reinterpretation of pink which, with a flamingo tone, becomes one of the predominant colours in the girls’ collection, crossing over from the baby world.
