Since 1995, the kid’s wear concept has been to show children from different, alternative perspectives. This idea has encouraged the biannual magazine to think outside the box, combining high kids’ fashion with contemporary photography and contributions from the worlds of art, culture and society.
The exhibition, “When I dream I'm ageless” presents the work of 22 photographers, who reflect in their own inimitable ways the multifaceted theme of this year’s Pitti Bimbo children’s fashion trade fair in Florence, “PITTI GENERATION(S)”, which proposes as its leitmotif a kind of “co-existence” of different generations in fashion.
The 22 photographers have been chosen from 42 issues, or 21 years, of kid’s wear. During this period Michel Comte, Nan Goldin, Martin Parr, Bruce Weber, Jessica Craig-Martin, Takashi Homma, Achim Lippoth, and many more have all taken photographs for the magazine.
