NICE LICENSING: when a cartoon becomes a successful brand
From Angry Birds to Miffy, from the classic Pokémon to the innovative interactive Feisty Pets stuffed toys. Everything that’s new when it comes to licences is heading to Pitti Bimbo 88, ranging from the world of cartoons to the most popular games, and that’s not all. Because the Nice Licensing section, in collaboration with the Bologna Licensing Trade Fair and the Bologna Children’s Book Fair, demonstrates that everything can be transformed into a successful lifestyle brand. Like Parental Advisory, which started out as a label to warn parents of unsuitable content for children, and which today inspires numerous collaborations with international designers and stars. Or like the iconic musicians and teen idols who, considered to be veritable brands, present collections dedicated to themselves: from Vasco Rossi to Rovazzi, all gathered under the Bravado brand. And so the meeting place is the Cavedio, on the lower floor of the Central Pavilion, to bridge the world of children’s clothing with that of cartoons and entertainment. In addition to those already mentioned, here are the names of the licences that will be participating in the event: National Geographic, Emoji, Felix The Cat, Adrenalyn XL, Ugly Dolls, Ghostbusters, Magiki, Nicoletta Costa, Panini, Popeye on the occasion of his 90th anniversary, Subway Surfers and Jojo Siwa (Viacom), Yale.
