The 40th anniversary of Lineapiù Italia

Pitti Filati 77 is the ideal occasion for Lineapiù Italia to celebrate an important landmark: its fortieth anniversary.
Founded in 1975 by Giuliano Coppini and today headed by Alessandro Bastagli, the company will be celebrating with a series of special initiatives: a collection of yarns that is richer and more innovative than ever, presented at Pitti Filati 77 with the new “Gold” thread: an extremely fine tubular construction of extrafine merino wool, made precious by the insertion of a pure 24-carat gold filament. A special stand for the Lineapiù Historic Archive, which will showcase a selection of Giorgio Armani clothes, kindly granted for display by the fashion maison.
Plus, the book “YARNS - LINEAPIÙ ITALIA. 40 ANNI DI EMOZIONI”, looking at 40 years of emotions. And the gala evening for presentation of the book, to be held in the exclusive location of the Salone del Cinquecento in Palazzo Vecchio. An opportunity to welcome the elite of international fashion, invited to pay homage to this company that has contributed so much to changing the destiny of knits. For the evening, Azzedine Alaïa has graciously given permission for a selection of his creations created with Lineapiù yarns to be displayed in the Salone.
Alessandro Bastagli himself will be present on Wednesday 1 July at 12.00 noon in the Monumental area on the first floor of the Fortezza, presenting the new collection and all the fortieth anniversary initiatives to the press.
