INTERVISTE ESPOSITORI PITTI FILATI 84

Davide Mercante, CEO, Biella Yarn by Südwolle:
I was very satisfied with this edition. We recorded excellent attendance at the stand and I noticed a good amount of movement all around. Pitti Filati represents an ideal occasion for meeting clients from abroad; we had lots of meetings already planned and I am pleased about the feedback we received.

Federico Gualtieri, president, Filpucci:
This edition went very well! Pitti Filati always aims more for visitor quality than quantity. We recorded excellent attendance at our stand especially by top luxury designers from France, Italy and the USA.

Maurizio Brocchetto, Creative Director, Intex:
Pitti Immagine got us involved in the CustomEasy project, the knitwear capsule collection that is the result of the work of a production chain. 60 sweaters were created by the Knitclub knitting mills using their top yarns which were subsequently treated by our company. All the treatments can be industrialized which was really exciting for the companies! The project aroused a lot of interest and we are very satisfied. Pitti Filati is the first summer season fair, this is where the trends are born and developed, where you can understand the direction the market is taking.

Romina Barelli, Marketing & Communications Manager, Carvico and Jersey Lomellina:
We were invited to curate the Techno-Luxury installation that involved matching noble and technical materials. Our company is specialized in fabrics with synthetic yarns and it was a pleasure to put ourselves to the test in this adventure together with Angelo Figus and Nicola Miller. This year the Spazio Ricerca focused on the world of sport and, as a sector leader, we just had to be there! We also made a lot of contacts at our stand, inside the Fashion at Work section.

Renato Cotto, Yarns Business Unit director, Textiles Division, Loro Piana:
The fair confirms its growth trend. Spoilt by a 2018 in which Loro Piana achieved the maximum in the textiles division, we were also expecting a good result at this edition which was exceeded with a rise of +15% in visitors compared to last year. Our key markets are those from the luxury sector: Italy, France, United Kingdom and Germany.  Excellent organization, as usual.

Thea Bonadei, Filartex:
Pitti Filati represents the only key fair for the knitwear industry in Italy and continues to be a fundamental rendezvous in our calendar. This was the first time we had taken part in this location on the lower level of the Main Pavilion and I really liked the vicinity to the Knitclub. We had already scheduled a lot of meetings with both Italian and international clients and we recorded an excellent response.

Danielle Chiel, founder, Koco:
This is our first time at Pitti Filati and I am very satisfied! The atmosphere is hyper creative and the people I met were very competent and well-prepared, professionals with a lot of experience in the knitwear industry. We received interest from both the Italian and international market. Excellent organization.

Alessandro Bastagli, president, Lineapiù Italia:
A positive Pitti Filati, absolutely in line with other editions. We registered a good amount of movement, especially on the second day of the event and all the important clients were there. Excellent organization, as usual.

Paola Rossi, Marketing Manager/Fashion Coordinator, Zegna Baruffa Lane Borgosesia:
A very positive edition! I am very pleased that our company was involved in the fashion show by theMaster’s Degreestudents at the Accademia Costume & Moda and Modateca Deanna. It was very important to transmit our love for the product to students from so many cultures and of different nationalities. Pitti Filati is increasingly a point of reference for knitwear culture, a unique event in the world, inimitable.

Raffaella Pinori, Pinori Filati:

Although summer is not our top season, it went very well. I believe that it is important to take part in this fair in order to be able to propose innovative ideas and projects and understand whether the collections are interesting from our client’s viewpoint. With Pitti Filati we have the possibility of undergoing a very important test! I am satisfied with the growing attention paid to sustainability, an increasingly fundamental aspect fully reflected by our collections of organic, recycled and environmentally sustainable yarns, showing that we are perfectly in harmony with market demands.
