The Art of Perfume at the Museo Villoresi
On the occasion of Pitti Fragranze, the Museo Villoresi dedicated to the Art of Perfume, will extend its opening hours. Housed in an ancient palazzo in the heart of Florence, at Via de’ Bardi no. 12, this museum offers a multisensorial itinerary to discover the universe of perfume, scent and aspects of the principal aromatic materials and the history, myths and legends that have accompanied it for centuries, as well as information of a scientific and technical nature and curious details about the production of essences and the creation of fragrances. The heart of the exhibition is Osmorama, a library of scents, a big collection of ancient and modern aromatic ingredients. Finally, the garden and terraces host a collection of aromatic plants from all over the world.
Rendezvous: Friday 13 and Saturday 14 September at 2.30, 4.30 and 6.00 p.m. and on Sunday 15 September at 11.00 a.m. and 2.30 p.m. The visits are guided and should be booked in advance.
