In Florence

A whole city united in the name of taste.

During the week of Taste, restaurants, wine shops, delicatessens, boutiques, art galleries, theaters and museums become protagonists with Fuoriditaste, a unique calendar full of delicious events that involves the places of Florence.

In the three weekends before Taste, thanks to collaboration between Taste and The Mall, Outlet of Reggello, it was possible to taste the excellence of Tuscan flavors of some of the companies attending Taste 2011.
Friday and Saturday March 11th and 12th, Richard Barthel - in collaboration with Dammann Frères, Torta Pistocchi and Mangani Porcellane d’Arte - has offered visitors a pleasant tasting tea made of garden flowers and herbs accompanied by homemade cakes and chocolate dragees.
Sunday, March 13th, it was the turn of Ortobello ®, the food market at “zero kilometres” which offered visitors the opportunity to buy local products in the courtyard of the company. Richard Barthel has called upon the farmers of the Florentine countryside and local producers, to encourage links with local products and return them to a conscious use.
During Taste there is also “Archichef”: three evenings to discover the connection between food and architecture. An event that aims to connect the world of architecture and design to that of the kitchen. Three architects are invited to prepare a proper dinner for all participants, using the products of “Taste”.
