Pitti Uomo 79

Trussardi 1911

Men's collection F/W 2011-12

Stazione Leopolda

For the 79th edition of Pitti Immagine Uomo, Trussardi dal 1911 presented its new F/W 2011/12 Men’s collection in a spectacular runway show held on Wednesday, January 12th at Stazione Leopolda in Florence.
The show celebrated an important anniversary for the Italian fashion house: 100 years of excellence, quality, artisan workmanship and exquisite details. The fashion show was a spectacular stage for an extraordinary presentation of the history of the company. For 2011, Trussardi dal 1911 presented an extraordinary collection where the latest styles were blended with its history revealed through the protagonists, icons, products, collections, places and events that have made Trussardi one of the most important players of the international fashion scene.
The history of Trussardi is primarily a story about its finest material: leather. Trussardi’s centennial represented 100 years of artisan leather-working, a trade that has defined the group since 1911 when Dante Trussardi produced the first pair of leather gloves.
Milan Vukmirovic, that was the Creative Director of Trussardi dal 1911 until March 2011, focused on Trussardi’s DNA and used his distinctive, dynamic, self-possessed style to pay homage to the heritage and understated cosmopolitan luxury of the brand. Accessories played an important part with a special capsule collection celebrating the 100th anniversary of Trussardi Group. As stars of the catwalk, these iconic objects represented the company’s century of savoir faire that also looked to new horizons as the greyhound agilely and swiftly runs towards the future.
