Andrea Incontri: Designer Project Pitti Uomo 87

Palazzo Corsini

Andrea Incontri is the Pitti Uomo 87 Designer Project. After a four-year hiatus, the young designer who has made simplicity of line and research on materials his signature, will be back in Florence with a special project to present the men’s clothing and accessory collections for Fall-Winter 2015-16.
His performance will be hosted in the magnificent Palazzo Corsini, one of the symbols of Florentine culture and history.
Born in Mantua, Andrea Incontri is a young Italian designer who has not betrayed his training as an architect. After obtaining his degree from the Politecnico di Milano, he applied the same design qualities that he uses as a distinguishing feature to fashion.
In 2010, his triumph in the “Who Is On Next?” competition for young talents organized by Vogue Italia brought his first official recognition and sanctioned his entry into the fashion community. In October 2013, the Andrea Incontri label was invited to represent “Italian Excellence” in the Dubai fashion show organized by Vogue.
Since 2009, after having participated in Pitti for the first time, he has become a full-fledged part of Milan Fashion Week where he shows his men’s and women’s collections.
The Andrea Incontri wardrobe begins with function: the clothes are simple in shape, but sophisticated when it comes to raw materials, impeccable tailoring and a constant quest for an original look.
Today, Andrea Incontri makes and markets ready-to-wear and accessory collections for men and women through an important distribution network on the Japanese market which is now expanding in the United States and Europe.
In parallel with the global expansion of his label, in June 2014 Andrea Incontri was appointed creative director of Tod’s Uomo.
