“THE GOOD ITALIAN II, the Prince goes to Milan”

The world premiere at Pitti Immagine Uomo in the smallest Cinema of the world

Central Pavillion, Upper Floor (in the smallest cinema of the world)

Caruso launches on January 12, 2016 on the opening day of Pitti Uomo 89th edition, the world premiere of the second episode of THE GOOD ITALIAN, a series of short movies, each about 5 minutes long to celebrate the Italian lifestyle.

The series stars Giancarlo Giannini - an actor of reference in Italian cinema – who with humour and acting skill plays the role of the Prince of Soragna. Visiting the lesser known places of Italy’s good life, he has a companion/protégé Fefè, to whom he teaches the Art of drawing pleasure from the different occasions of a gentleman’s life.
In the second episode the Prince goes to Milan, to meet a mysterious lady who turns out to be his niece. Travelling in a very elegant Lancia Aurelia B24, a symbol of Italian design in the world, and driven by the faithful Fefé, he chooses the secret enclave which is most similar to the atmospheres of the princely Rocca in Soragna: the Four Seasons Hotel in Via Gesù, the Gentleman’s street. Formerly the Convent of St. Mary of Jesus for more than three centuries, its cloister with a garden, which the very quiet suite of the Prince looks on to, conceals one of its dearest secrets: a small plant of precious basil that the nuns cultivated in the 16th century, essential for the most exquisite recipe of all: trenette with pesto.
After a flying visit to the Michelin-starred kitchen of the hotel and to the place of Italian tailoring worthiest of the Prince, under the centuries-old tree which offers its shade to the Garden, the table is laid and the dinner is ready....
The secret recipe will convert the cosmopolitan young lady, spoilt by the most clichéd frivolous luxuries, to the refined pleasure offered by the Italian lifestyle, that the whole world seeks and envies.

The launch, in collaboration with Pitti Uomo, is an acknowledgement of this event, authoritative for the world of menswear, which has always been a leader in promoting Italian design and production and a meeting place for all those who recognize themselves in Italian savoir-faire.

The rendez-vous for the world premiere is set for January 12 at noon on the 3rd floor (Attic) of The Fortezza Da Basso in the "smallest Cinema of the world".
