Mario Dell’Oglio reveals the secrets of elegance in Florence With his paper “Il gentiluomo senza cappello”

Meeting room, Area Monumentale, First Floor

The book “I gentiluomo senza cappello” (The gentleman without a hat), published by Edizioni Leima and written by Mario Dell’Oglio gets straight to the heart of the debate. The president of the Italian Chamber of Fashion Buyers will be presenting his paper at Pitti Uomo on Wednesday 13 January from 12.30 in the Meeting Room on the first floor of the Monumental Area at the Fortezza Da Basso. Debating together with the author will be fashion journalist Simone Marchetti and buyer Beppe Angiolini.

Looking after your wardrobe and looking after your relationships. This is the challenge that Mario Dell’Oglio launches for the men of the new millennium. A difficult one because understanding what image we want to give others of ourselves calls for attention and deep self-awareness if our wardrobe is not to take the initiative in our place.
Clothes can come close to our desires, they ae our projection into the future and they are tangible dynamics for unhinging our habits. A paper that does not aim to hand out style tips, this is a real method to be acquired for improving, with irony, our own very personal, profound image.
