Paltò, Italian brand that boasts outerwear collections inspired by the history of cinema, chooses the Odeon Cinehall in Florence as suggestive venue for its exclusive launch party of the FW 2016-17 collection. Spotlights on the coat, iconic item of the brand and undisputed element of style that is the “star” of international movies.
From the beginning of the Twentieth Century, the Odeon cinehall marked the history of cinema, and not just in Florence: here were shown some of the best movies, and the cinema welcomed international guests such as Anjelica Huston, Kate Winslet, Alberto Sordi, Nino Manfredi, Roberto Benigni, Kenneth Branagh, Ralph Fiennes, just to name a few, and some of the most important events of the city.
Opened on December 14, 1922, the cinema (and theatre) was built in one of the most important Renaissance palaces of Florence, designed by Filippo Brunelleschi. It was the great Eleonora Duse to suggest its use as a cinema.
On the occasion of Pitti Uomo 89, Paltò dedicates a tribute to the world of cinema, with its stories and faces, celebrating a symbol of Florence and the "house" of cinema par excellence.
