Maria Vittoria Alfonsi has played a leading role in the history of Italian fashion from the fifties to date. This book of memories covers her long, admirable career, illustrating the birth and evolution of Made in Italy. Alfonsi reveals the world behind the runway spotlights, and also the humanity and art that permeate creations by the greatest stylists and designers, as well as the vices and virtues of journalists, entrepreneurs and names from show business. The book is a collection of experiences from the many different places, events and celebs encountered by Alfonsi since she started out, when at a very young age she took up the career of journalism quite by chance, in an emerging, complex sector, reading the changing times through the art of creating clothes.
