LUCIO VANOTTI_ Class of 1975, Lucio Vanotti carries forward a rational and minimalist fashion ideal in his research. One of the finalists of “Who is on next? Uomo” 2012, he founded the Lucio Vanotti brand in 2012. Selected by Giorgio Armani to present a runway show in the Armani Theatre, in June 2016 he staged a show in Florence at the latest edition of Pitti Uomo which was enthusiastically received by the international press. By reducing each garment to essential shapes, his collections draw absolute geometries that envelop the body with a sophisticated naturalness.
“I am very enthusiastic about this opportunity to present my next collection at Pitti Uomo again – says Lucio Vanotti. - I think that this is the natural consequence of a positive past experience. With respect to the previous edition, I would like to concentrate exclusively on men; it is my intention to revisit formal wear in my own way, to filter the historic baggage of classic styles through my reductionist vision of comfortable elegance. My esthetic has always been influenced by classic menswear but with the next collection it is my desire to make this the object of departure.”
