RRD – ROBERTO RICCI DESIGNS presents “Follow the wind”

A preview of the documentary with Jerrie Van De Kop

Don’t take the wind away from me. Do you think it will disappear like the green areas in Tanzania have or like the snow on the top of Mount Kilimanjaro has? I’m prepared to chase it because it will lead me to where the water is hidden...” That’s how the green adventure of Dutch kiteboarder Jerrie Van De Kop begins. His mission? To raise awareness for global warming severely affecting the areas around Mount Kilimanjaro. This adventure, using RRD – Roberto Ricci Designs kite surf equipment, became the film “Follow the wind” which communicates his personal protest to the world’s indifference. On 10 January during Pitti Uomo, this docu-film will be previewed in the presence of Jerrie and RRD will showcase its Fall/Winter 2018 collection comprising a new range of clothing in Lycra; an excellent technical material as well as the brand’s signature fabric for the last 25 years or more.

RRD’s Lycra broadens technological horizons for the fashion industry thanks to its sporting legacy. The innovation and continual research that comes from the world of water sport has meant the development of forever evolving, highly technological jackets. These will now be matched with men’s and women’s tailored Lycra trousers, rigorously Made in Italy. They have been produced using RRD’s Holistic Technology, a multi-fabric layering technique. The material is soft to the touch, comfortable and elasticated. It maintains heat in the winter and is cool and breathable in the summer.
