Inspired by the legends of Italian and international cinema, a new generation of tailored coats

Paltò presents itself on the market as the “Made in Italy” Coat Factory. Paltò was immediately inspired by the legends of Italian and international cinema, and the first dedication in the collection could not fail but to be for the undisputed icon of home-grown cinematography: Marcello Mastroianni. On the twenty-year anniversary of his death, he is honoured with “Marcello”: one of the most representative garments of timeless Italian elegance. A raglan-sleeved coat, presented with large volumes and a loose fit.

The evolution of the concept of tailoring which was once a guarantee of exclusivity translates into a contemporary reinterpretation of the classics: from Glen plaid presented using chiné yarns with a 3D appearance to the checks which come with both a graphic twist on worsted wool or in jacquard, until reaching the mohair effect. Special attention is paid to the new pairings: bouclé reinterpreted on woven surfaces with melange colourings, tone-on-tone chevron, military cloths and washed ribbed velvets.
