‘70s Racing by Jeckerson
For the next SS 2019, the historic brand from Bologna, under the stylistic coordination of designer Roberto Lorenzi, takes ‘70s Racing as its inspiration - Racing degli anni ’70. Jeckerson Racing refers back to the iconography and the famous circuits of the time through re-contextualized illustrations and interpretations of the brand logos for the modern man. Great attention is paid to the symbology, the slogans and the patches, which take their cue from the Formula 1 uniforms and feature reinforcements, padding and contrasting colors. For this imaginary race from Bologna to Florence, the brand has chosen to boost the theme of the collection by entering into a collaboration with Polistil, an historic and iconic brand from the 70s/’80s which, for over 50 years, has been a point of reference for all enthusiasts of engines, Formula 1 and the racing world in general. This collaboration led to the creation of the Polistil X Jeckerson capsule collection which stars the iconic Jeckerson patch available in three different off-white versions: the brand new Chino proposed in the “Racing” version with a contemporary patch (short) and quilted knee reinforcements, the well-known 5-pkt with iconic quilted patch (long) and the 5-pkt with iconic multi-pocket patch (long). The three trousers also feature the embroidered Polistil logo on the inside.
