WONDER FOOD PITTI, this edition’s theme

A tribute to the cultural importance of food today


The place symbolising WonderFood Pitti will be the huge courtyard at the Fortezza da Basso, opposite the Central Pavilion. This location will house the project by Oliviero Baldini, incredible yet real vegetable gardens guarded by 35 mannequin-scarecrows dressed in clothes designed for them by a selection of international brands picked from the companies showing at Pitti Uomo. It is the first time that a key theme installation has directly involved exhibitors. For the Pitti Uomo companies, the 35 mannequin-scarecrows will become an opportunity and an original means for expressing themselves and taking part in the show. They too will be able to grow a fruit in the garden of invention. The atmosphere of WonderFood Pitti will also be recreated at the Dogana, at Pitti W. Food contamination will feature in the layout of the womenswear salon, with incursions and installations, like the mannequin-scarecrows  with looks from international Pitti W brands.
Plus, in and around the fair, relocated eating places will offer comfort food devised to make all visitors feel good.
