A Special Area Dedicated to Six Made in Italy Startups

At Pitti Uomo 97, in a special area on the Top Floor of the Central Pavilion – with a sustainable layout designed by architect Alessandro Moradei, who also curated the set design of the entire fair – the spotlights are turned on six Made in Italy startups.

With the YOUNG ITALIAN START UP AROUND THE WORLD project, ITA - Italian Trade Agency confirms its partnership with Pitti Immagine, collaborating with the Pitti Tutoring & Consulting management team to support and promote six Italian emerging realities: Amish, Fortu Milano, Nicola Brescini, One Of, Pier Sicilia, and Revenant.

“The idea is to give these startups – which are all present with their stands at the fair – greater visibility in an institutional space and in a different version and position from the usual ones,” says Luca Rizzi, director of Pitti Tutoring & Consulting. “Together with ICE Agency we have selected six Made in Italy firms with peculiarities and original proposals to recount different stories”.

These include the swimwear of Pier Sicilia, the jeans of Amish, the bags of Fortu Milano, the shoes of One Of and the fashion collections of Nicola Brescini and Revenant. All produced in Italy and made with a special focus on sustainability and the environment.

“We have startups that use traceability, employ recycled fabrics, while approaching themes like that of climate change with their collections,” continues Rizzi.

Every brand has chosen an item that best represents its own creativity to be presented in the special area as a kind of picture, in a range of perspectives and concrete experiences.
A further input for the fair’s visitors onto one of the most debated topics also in the fashion industry, to which Pitti Uomo has decided to dedicate various initiatives and moments for reflection.
