The United Arrows "fashion oracle" joins Pitti Uomo with a special talk on books and fashion

Two great names from the cultural and fashion scene will meet for a conversation on the topic of how reading books and dressing oneself are interconnected, also amidst the waves of digital transformation: Hirofumi Kurino, the "fashion oracle" and founding member of United Arrows Ltd., and Masafumi Suzuki, ex editor-in-chief of GQ Japan.

Kurino and Suzuki, dressed for the occasion in the Italian tailoring brand Caruso, exhibiting at the fair, will engage the audience in a lively exchange of ideas and insights.

The event is also a way of paying homage and sharing the felt, although remote, participation in Pitti Uomo of two key figures for the show and its community. They will appear on the Pitti Connect digital platform and inside the Fortezza, on the screens of the special multimedia Top Floor installation of Futuro Maschile, a section that has always been close to their sensitivity.

The theme that links fashion and books is also in line with Pitti Immagine's vision in support of the many expressions of culture and lifestyle: in particular, in February 2022, the Florence-based company, together with Stazione Leopolda, will launch the first edition of Testo [Come si diventa un libro], an event dedicated to the world of publishing.

Thursday, January 13, at 10.30 (CET): "Reading & Dressing" special talk in live streaming in Japanese on the Top Floor of the Fortezza da Basso and Pitti Connect. The video recording of the event will then be uploaded and available with subtitles in Italian and English on the Pitti Connect platform.
