True sustainability with the feeling of coming home– this is what the German cashmere brand buttertea is committed to. A concentrated collection of finest luxury cashmere, Made in Italy and come to stay.
Quiet, sophisticated, honestly luxurious: buttertea turns cashmere back to what it used to be: an once-in-a-lifetime investment that makes you happy for many years. Luxury is not a show-off, but something deeply personal: the extraordinary softness of the women’s and men’s sweaters says more than a thousand words.
The excellent quality of buttertea starts with the raw material: only the finest fibres are used, from which incomparable 2-ply yarns are produced in the last remaining world-class luxury spinning mill. From this precious material buttertea founder Hans-Bernd Cartsburg uses hand knitting machines in Tuscany to create his timeless styles. The fact that yarns and knits are produced in the same region is a principle – thus the entire production chain is one.
buttertea sweaters, cardigans or turtles are a sustainable choice not only because of their long life: The entire collection is made of yarns without dye stuff , instead of horn, corozo buttons – also known as the plant ivory – are used. Your advantage: The material does not become dull even after frequent washing. Even the labels of buttertea products are completely ecological.
“Our products are timeless classics with a certain something and become long-term companions for their owners”, says Hans-Bernd Cartsburg, who, after many stints in the fashion business, has fulfilled the dream of creating his own brand with buttertea.
Since even the most valuable cashmere yarns tend to pill in new condition, buttertea offers its customers a special service: they can send their favourite items up to twice free of charge. In the buttertea Spa, the cashmere products are then regenerated, purged and small repairs are made.
And why buttertea?
buttertea is the national drink of Mongolia and stands for the hospitality of the nomads. These fantastic people take care of the goats that produce the best cashmere fibers in the world. And are thus the basis of the beauty of buttertea products.
