Why Smell Ordinary?
After years of developing fragrances for global and niche brands behind the scenes, olfactive storytelling duo Nick Gilbert and Pia Long decided it was time to step into the spotlight. Eau de Boujee was conceived as a space for self-expression, a stage for our own imagination to weave together tales as old as time with worlds of far-flung futures and tell those stories through novel and distinctive perfumes.
Eau de Boujee is a love letter to those who adore fragrance and live their lives unapologetically as themselves. We believe that fragrance is a narrative and participatory art-form, theatre for the nose, a form of self-expression and performance for both its creators and wearers. We revel in originality, individuality, playful creativity and a dedication to learning, experience and skill over shortcuts, smoke and mirrors.

THE FOUNDERS
Pia Long
Pia is the perfumer behind all our fragrances, expressing their stories in original olfactive forms. Having worked with fragrance since her teens, her route to perfumery was as creative as her perfumery is today. She made the move from fragrance retail to behind the scenes in 2009 and worked for three companies and through them, several brands, until co-founding Olfiction in 2016. She is a member of the Société Internationale des Parfumeurs-Créateurs and a Council Member of the British Society of Perfumers.
Nick Gilbert
Nick is a fragrance industry veteran who has a unique vision for the future of our trade and the experience to bring it to life. He has worked in retail, marketing, and training, and now offers fragrance evaluation, training, and consultancy, helping brands create brilliant products that resonate with consumers. At Boujee, Nick is the creative director for the brand story, concept, and product ideas.
