On the occasion of Pitti Filati 83 IED celebrates Made in México with an exhibition: Dandy Couture
Thursday 28 June 2018 during Pitti Filati 83, happening at the same time as the celebrations of Mexico City as World Design Capital 2018, IED, University Anáhuac México Norte and the association RACU Raices Culturales, at the Florence school of IED Firenze present the exhibition "Dandy Couture".
The students of IED and of the Anahuac University have reinterpreted the traditional Mexican fabrics of the Oaxaca region, according to contemporary taste, recreating the charm and the stylistic identity of the Dandy. The Dandy Couture event will be accompanied by a special masterclass by Blanche Helene Toffel Quiñones, dean of the Escuela de Moda, Innovación y Tendencia de la Universidad Anáhuac México an Giovanni Ottonello, IED Art Director together with an intervention by a representative of the RACU association on the use of Mexican fabrics in contemporary fashion design. The exhibition will run from June 28 to July 15, at the IED in Florence (via Maurizio Bufalini, 6 / R).
