London designer Carri Mundane takes her CASSETTE PLAYA crew to PITTI IMMAGINE for an exclusive live video jumpdance installation up in the hills overlooking Florence. A future street gang of pixel warriors battling real and virtual worlds will be joined by her Sci-Fi grime boys, all wearing a toxicolour uniform of patterns, graphic shapes, luxury street and sportswear. Diane von Furstenberg will be the special guest at the second edition of Pitti W _ Woman Precollection, the Pitti Immagine project dedicated to women's pre-collections. On the evening of Wednesday, 18 June the extraordinary Giardino Torrigiani in the heart of Florence will be the stunning en plein air backdrop for an elegant, glamour-filled event featuring the world première of Diane von Furstenberg's Cruise / Pre-Spring Collection 2008 - 2009.
The Museo Marino Marini, the Osservatorio per le Arti Contemporanee Ente Cassa di Risparmio di Firenze and the Fondazione Pitti Discovery present and exhibition dedicated to the Italian artist, Claudia Losi, showcasing a selection of pieces created from the 1990s to today with the Balenaproject.
The exhibition entitled The London Cut, dedicated to the protagonists, the style and history of London's famous Savile Row, curated by James Sherwood, premièred in Florence under the auspices of the Fondazione Pitti Discovery, during the January 2007 edition of Pitti Uomo. Now it is in Tokyo with two special events this month.

Il modo italiano (The Italian way of fashion) is a new Pitti Immagine project devoted to Italian fashions. It is not a search for roots or an identity – something that would be out of place in a world of contaminations, links and hyperlinks. Rather, it is an analysis of a junction where ideas, concepts and practices of contemporary fashion merge together.
The Fondazione Pitti Discovery will dedicate an exhibition to Simonetta, Donna Simonetta Colonna di Cesarò, a charismatic and eccentric personality in post-World War II high fashion. She was an icon of style who made fashion: this first show ever about Simonetta will be held at the Galleria del Costume in Palazzo Pitti, Florence.
