From 12 to 14 September 2008, in the Gardens of Palazzo Corsini, Pitti Immagine will present the sixth edition of Fragranze, the only event of its kind in Europe, dedicated to the world of artistic, selective perfumery. 

THE EVENT
The most exclusive perfumes, timeless fragrances, research on beauty, body-care and wellness products and perfumed accessories for the home – all this and more will be on stage in September in one of the most beautiful gardens in all Florence. Exceptionally high quality craftsmanship, unique and sophisticated products presented by the great international names in fragrances.
“Fragranze is a workshop where we select the newest and most interesting proposals the industry has to offer," says Agostino Poletto, deputy general manager of Pitti Immagine, and research products that are complementary to and coherent with perfumery. From one edition to the next, the event has established itself as the meeting point for members of the trade, and as the international stage for the entire field of advanced – and niche – creative perfumery. The excellence of the participating brands, the newly designed layout for each edition and the magnificent setting of the Palazzo Corsini Gardens make Fragranze a total experience that creates a close contact with the world and the history of fragrances”. 
Over 1,100 visitors who came to the last edition contributed to making Florence - the city whose wealth of monumental and botanical gardens complements outstanding artisan workshops - into the international capital of creative perfumery, valorizing our traditions and projecting them into the future

THE BRANDS
There will be over 110 brands at this edition, including: Abahna, Annick Goutal, Bond no.9, Casaroma, Crabtree & Evelyn, Creed, Diptyque, Erno Lazlo, Floris, Histoire de Parfums, Il Profumo, Laura Tonatto, Lorenzo Villoresi, Maitre Parfumeur et Gantier, Menard, Penhaligon's, Profumi della Costiera Amalfitana, Robert Piguet-Fracas, and Tauleto Fragrance.
Gianna Rose Atelier, Juliet Has a Gun, Les Nez, Morgane Le Fay, Officina de’ Tornabuoni, Officina delle Essenze, Ortigia, and Parfumerie Generale are just some of the new names and "returns".

THE NEW SETTING
The new layout for this edition of Fragranze is designed by Sergio Colantuoni, stylist and fashion editor for important, international lifestyle magazines. The products will be displayed in a special setting that we can best describe in these words: "a load of fragment bales has arrived; it is filled with flowers, citrus fruits, spices and marvels…a wonderful experience for the nose and mind”. The arrangement will dialogue with the garden's natural spaces, emphasizing elegant shades of beige, ecru and wood and "testing" new shapes in harmony with the setting. It is an invitation to take a sensory stroll that terminates in the lounge and refreshment area.

EVENTS, INFORMATION, ENTERTAINMENT
The three days of Fragranze will be filled with events combining information and entertainment: projects, exhibitions and presentations organized by Pitti Immagine and the exhibitors. The spotlights will be shining on the world's greatest names in artistic perfumery and contemporary lifestyles and wellness. One of the many items on the agenda for this edition is an event dedicated to flowers, and naturally, their smell. Produced in cooperation with famous "nose" Maurizio Cerizza, it will explain how the essence of a flower becomes a bottled fragrance.

OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
Once again, Fragranze will include one day welcoming the general public. On SATURDAY, 13 SEPTEMBER, all fragrance enthusiasts will have the opportunity to enter this world, learn about its exclusive products and participate in the special events to become more closely acquainted with the topics related to today's olfactory culture.
