MODAPRIMA 66:
THE TOP INTERNATIONAL FASHION COLLECTIONS FOR LARGE SCALE-DISTRIBUTION FAIR
From 23RD - 25TH May in a new location: the Portello at Fieramilanocity
The latest edition of Modaprima, will be held in Milan, in a new location, from 23rd - 25th May. The international fair presenting ready-to-wear men’s and women’s fashion and accessory collections created-for-large-scale-distribution for the 2010 spring-summer season and sneak-peeks of the 2009/2010 fall-winter collections is moving to Pavilion 1 of the Portello at FieraMilanoCity: an even more functional exhibition area which brings together product, research, communication and services in a totally natural way.
“The new exhibition location will certainly be very advantageous for the work of our exhibitors as well as all the visitors to the fair”, says Agostino Poletto, deputy general manager of Pitti Immagine, “and will also facilitate our commitment to maximizing - through our layout projects - the strong technical-stylistic component that has always characterized the fair’s proposals. In short, ModaPrima will be an even more unmissable event for international medium and large scale distributors”.
Over 150 collections will be presented at the 66th edition by around 70 companies.
The fair - the first event created for this particular market segment - will present the best Made in Italy collections and a selection of international brands. At the seventh edition to be organized by Pitti Immagine, Modaprima will confirm its strategy based on scouting, quality, research and segmentation of the proposals, continuing to establish its role as the reference event for an important production sector within the Italian fashion system and the international fashion business. Alongside benchmark names like Ann Max Export, Bernardini, Bianca Maria Caselli, Creazioni Rosanna & Co., Hemoti by Esseci, Incontro, Maglificio Venezia-Carla B., Nuovi Sarti-Karat, Sfizio by Plissè, Severi Silvio, Vezzo, Zanetti Moda, mention must be made of the new entries: Lungidamè, Flo & Clo, Guido Angeloni, Nababila, NewAge Intimo, Patry Collezioni, Skill, Studio Esse.
Modaprima - designed to satisfy the requirements of buyers looking for fast fashion collections with which to constantly renew their seasonal product proposals - also owes its success to the targeted promotional strategy directed at both new and traditional markets realized by Pitti Immagine in collaboration with the ICE, Italian Foreign Trade Commission. The countries invited to this edition include Japan, the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, Russia, Ukraine and the countries of the former Soviet Union, Holland, Portugal, the Baltic Republics, Spain, the United States and Sweden.
Another important feature of this event is the Fashion Cube, the research area curated by Sergio Colantuoni - one of Italy’s most successful stylists - and produced with the valuable cooperation of the exhibitors, presenting ideas and trends through visual and scenographic installations. The 5 themes for this edition are: Havana, Vintage, Exotic, Luna Park, Androide.
