Pitti Bimbo 86: focus on special events at the Fortezza and in Florence
Events, special appearances and presentations at the Fortezza include:
_“Creating kids. Talks, experiences and representation of infancy in childrenswear”: Pitti Bimbo 86 will host presentation of the research project looking into representation of infancy in kids’ fashion, funded by the University of Bologna (G.M.Bertin Department of Educational Sciences), the Emilia-Romagna Regional Authorities, Pitti Immagine and the University of Parma, and carried out through the perspective and innovative tools of the new sociological study of infancy;
_Style Piccoli is 10 years old and celebrates with a special exhibition on the Lower Floor of the Main Pavilion, featuring 10 of the covers that have written its history, with comments for the occasion by Giusi Ferré. “There is no bigger discovery a child can make,” says Giusi Ferré. “Fashion sends the signals of this huge desire for change, movement, frenzy, which calls for unusual, different imagination. Fashion that moves through characters from fairy tales and pop stars, female explorers and rappers, adventurous tykes and young artists. Clothes—as Style Piccoli and its photos show us—can truly be the first and most fun of games”;
_“Extreme – the fashion show with a difference”, the film by kid's wear Magazine
kid’s wear Magazine presents Extreme at Pitti Bimbo, a full-length film made by Achim Lippoth, photographer, producer and publisher of kid’s wear, dedicated to a fashion show special, starring a group of kids with all their energy and fun. An unusual, fun format that reworks the concept of kids’ fashion show in the most authentic, natural way possible;
_ the German magazine, B2B platform, LUNA will transform its area at the Fortezza in a special set: spotlights on kids as protagonists of a short-video series inspired by the cinema, common thread of our winter fairs.
