Unique Children Wear
is doubling its presence at Pitti Bimbo
with DOUUOD Kids and JNBY Kids

Unique Children Wear, a company with a portfolio of childrenswear labels in licence that can boast prominent names such as the historic Patrizia Pepe Junior Girls, Bikkembergs, Marcelo Burlon Kids of Milan and Stella Jean Kids, is taking part at this edition of the Pitti Bimbo show with two new entries: DOUUOD Kids and JNBY. “The Spring/Summer 2019 collections by DOUUOD Kids and JNBY Kids are presenting an innovative product on the childrenswear scene thanks to their constant search for and study of distinctive features that will have a strong appeal abroad, too, with the right balance of Italian quality and the care and fine-crafting of top quality materials, breaking free from the competition with the fast fashion giants and low cost products,” claims managing director Francesco Pizzuti.

The Urban Tropical Paradise. The new collection from Stella Jean Kids

The girl from the SS19 collection sets back off on a quest for new adventures and latitudes. The next stage of her multicultural journey? An “Urban-Tropical” paradise. From unspoilt nature to the fervour of the city, the little explorer Stella Jean meets joyous, brightly-coloured Haitian merchants with whom she enjoys decorating sumptuous baskets of exotic fruit. In the company of zebra-striped monkeys and geese with white feathers, she then reaches the market party on a highly-decorated “Tap-Tap”, the typical Caribbean means of transport. Immersed in this vibrant atmosphere, the intrepid explorer never forgets the purpose of her journey: to discover a métisse world alien to social categorisations, starting out from a hybrid culture and embellished with multiple facets. The union between courtesy and art-leisure, a distinctive feature of Stella Jean Kids collections, is sought after in the presence of small poodle skirts decorated with raffia fringes in shades of blue, red and orange and all-over prints depicting animals, exotic fruit, “Tap-Taps” and Haitian merchants, also present on the swimming costumes reminiscent of the 1950s. Polo shirts and shirts with bowling patterns, rompers and wide trousers with boxer details. An unspoilt tropical paradise waiting to be discovered! Passementerie trimmings peep out as a tribute to Italian craftsmanship, decorating dresses, shirts and trousers in an akan print, conjuring up the ethical and multicultural value of the brand.
