On stage at Taste

Tre eccellenze di Reims a Taste

A distillate of delicacies “made in France”

Thanks to the twinning between the cities of Florence and Reims, the capital of the Champagne region, and with the support of Florence City Council, this edition of Taste will include the special presence of three excellent firms from Reims with their extraordinary products – from mustard to Champagne, to the famous pink biscuits – and their age-old tradition.

CB Clovis

Founded in Reims in 1797, Charbonneaux-Brabant is a family-run company that is the guarantor for the extraordinary savoir-faire of the vinegar and mustard making traditions of Champagne. Thanks to its centuries-old heritage of manufacturing secrets, the Clovis brand can offer an abundant range of products with unique and original flavors created from the excellence of the grape varieties of Champagne. The vinegar and mustard of Reims which are developed from Chardonnay, Pinot noir and Pinot Meunier vine-stocks vinified by the great maisons de champagne, are the brand’s most representative products.

Arlaux Champagne

Entirely classified as a Premier Cru, Arlaux vineyard has written records going back over 1,000 years, making it one of the most historical vineyards in Champagne. The Arlaux family is now taking care of it since more than 15 generations even if production of champagne (instead of still wines) only started in 1826. Today, the Arlaux vineyard is one of the very few French vineyards to keep pre- phylloxera Meunier vine trees. Cared without insecticides since more than 20 years, its grapes are among the most sought after from the “Montagne de Reims,” the real heart of the Champagne region. Only produced in limited quantities, from the sole first pressing (the “tête de cuvée”), Arlaux Champagnes are the full expression of this great terroir.

Maison Fossier

The heir to the splendid tradition of creators of delicacies that have made the city of Reims famous the world over, Maison Fossier has managed to preserve and develop the artisan expertise that has made its biscuit recipes into unmissable tantalizing delights. Prestigious biscuit production ennobled by two and a half centuries of history, Fossier is the Maison that created the famous “Rose Biscuit” of Reims. It perpetuates this tradition by combining the great taste of the past with the flavors of today
