Participating with our award in a leading project dedicated to the promotion of fashion talents like Who is on Next? Uomo”, explains Claudio Marenzi, president of Herno, “highlights our commitment to this concept. The Herno award was created to offer fashion designers an additional, very concrete opportunity, making it possible for them to not only get their style known but also their ability to interpret through their creativity.  The work of Michele Canziani and Stefano Ghidotti, the creatives at Milano140, is totally in tune with Herno’s philosophy.  In their collections the garments are destructured and combined in order to offer a vision of contemporary tailoring, a union of innovation and tradition.  The classic volumes, the great work of essential research and the attention to an obsessive quality are the elements that distinguish the youthful course of these two young men and brings them closer to our DNA”.

The winner of the first edition of the Herno Award was Carlo Volpi, the Tuscan fashion designer based in London, who realized the special Concept Collection for the F/W 2017/18 and S/S 2018 seasons.

The Who is On Next Uomo competition is organized by Fondazione Pitti Immagine Discovery and sponsored by Pitti Immagine Uomo in collaboration with Altaroma and L'Uomo Vogue.
