Following the statutory change, FIDESM (following the WDSF assembly's recommendations) was forced to renounce its recognition of the IDO - INTERNATIONAL DANCE ORGANIZATION.

The IDO is present in 87 countries worldwide and is a legacy that cannot be left free or in the hands of anyone who wishes to make it a competitive organization with the National Federation.
Under the aegis of MIDAS, the CIBS was founded, which will be the Italian reference for the international IDO.
On January 22, 2025, at 12:40 PM, the Italian Sports Dance Committee was officially recognized as an Italian member of the International Dance Organization (IDO).

We, a group of people who, each with their professionalism and dedication, mark a historic milestone.

We are the only organization in Italy to represent the IDO.

The CIBS is a free organization with no exclusive constraints or specific obligations. It will serve all those interested in the disciplines represented internationally by the IDO, without exclusion, and will also be able to develop new national disciplines.
The CIBS recognizes FIDESM as the only Federation authorized to organize title events on national territory; therefore, we will NEVER organize Italian or regional championships.
The CIBS will strive to create an exciting, open, and inclusive experience, while always supporting FIDESM in its institutional activities.
Our mission will be to ensure participation for anyone interested in international IDO events and to assist them in completing all the required formalities.
