MAISON INCENS — Beyond sense.
Some houses are born of a formula. This one was born of a craft older than its founder — the art of composing what cannot be seen, learned where perfume itself was invented: Grasse.
Before it was a house, Maison Incens was a world: Artganis, La Planète Odorante, an unpublished novel by Michel Constantin, who painted the alphabet of the Artganians onto leather hides — as if a language born of scent demanded skin to be written on. His son Philippe, founder and artistic director of Maison Incens, inherited no manuscript — he inherited an atmosphere, and the obligation to make it real.
Since 2013, alongside master perfumers Jean-Claude and Eric Gigodot, each fragrance has been a translation: a character, a matter, a shadow from Artganis rendered breathable. The house does not perfume skin. It transfers memory onto it.
A father dreamed a planet. A son gave it breath. Its story lives on in four collections:
THE BLACK OPUS · THE MOROCCAN TALES · THE DIVINATORY WATERS · LES INSENSEES
Come closer. Breathe once. The journey to Artganis has already begun.
